CMUA provides a number of Legislative services to its utility members:
Grassroots Advocacy
CMUA gives members the tools to influence legislators on critical energy and water issues, including sample oppose and support letters, bill analyses, related media stories and contact information for California’s 140 Legislators.
Legislative Updates
The California Legislature is a fast paced environment. To keep our members informed, CMUA provides regular legislative updates all critical energy and water bills.
CMUA Legislative Tracking
Each session, CMUA legislative advocates review the more than 2,000 bills introduced in the California Legislature. CMUA members can view all California and federal energy and water bills in which CMUA has taken a position on, or is tracking, and the CMUA letters and other communications on legislation.
